Position Summary: As a Pastry & Puff Chef at Glens Bakehouse, you will be responsible for preparing, baking, and presenting a variety of pastries, puffs, croissants, and other baked items. You should have a passion for baking, attention to detail, and the ability to consistently deliver high-quality products that align with Glens Bakehouse standards. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and bake a wide variety of puff pastries, croissants, danishes, and savory baked items. Ensure consistency in quality, taste, and appearance of all pastry and puff items. Follow standard recipes and plating techniques, ensuring portion control and minimal wastage. Maintain proper hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards at all times. Monitor stock levels of pastry ingredients and report requirements to the store/kitchen manager. Assist in menu planning and development of new pastry and puff items in line with seasonal trends. Coordinate with the team to ensure timely production and delivery for daily operations and bulk orders. Manage baking equipment and tools efficiently and safely. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pastry and puff preparation area. Ensure FIFO (First In, First Out) method is followed for all ingredients and baked goods. Requirements: Minimum 1–4 years of experience as a Pastry Chef or Puff Chef in a professional bakery or café. Strong knowledge of puff pastry techniques, dough handling, and baking processes. Ability to work early morning shifts and under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards (FSSAI certification is a plus). Creative flair with a keen eye for presentation and detail. Team player with good communication and time management skills.
