The candidate will play a key role in supporting the financial and accounting functions of the company. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with various accounting systems and processes. This position requires effective communication with clients and internal teams to ensure the smooth execution of accounting tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing and filing financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., UK GAAP).
• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions.
• Maintain and update bookkeeping and accounting records using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry of all financial transactions.
• Assist with the preparation and filing of tax returns, including individual, partnership, and corporate taxes.
• Prepare VAT returns and ensure timely submission to tax authorities.
• Regularly communicate with clients regarding their financial status and ensure their inquiries are addressed promptly.
• Work with clients to manage their financial records and provide regular updates on financial performance.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports to provide insights into the financial performance of clients.
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
• Act as a liaison between clients and regulatory authorities such as HMRC and Companies House to ensure compliance.
• Assist in special financial projects and other responsibilities as assigned by the management.
• Provide support during audits and financial reviews.

Qualifications:

• Semi qualified Chartered Accountant
• Completion of article ship under a registered Chartered Accountant firm (preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks).
• Excellent Fluency in English (both verbal and written).
• Excellent computer skills and ability to learn new software.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Confident speaking with UK and overseas clients.
