Chartered Accountant

As a Chartered Accountant / Cost-&-Finance Analyst in Erode, Tamil Nadu, working in the TMT Steel / Manufacturing industry, your responsibilities will include: - Handling a mix of Financial Planning & Analysis, Accounting / Compliance, Cost & Controls, Taxation, Banking / Treasury, Audit / Controls, and liaising with various stakeholders. Specifically: - Assisting in preparing annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans aligned with business goals. - Monitoring financial performance, analyzing variances and trends, and providing insights to management. - Supporting in risk analysis and strategic decision-making. - Ensuring timely closing of books (monthly, quarterly, annual) and preparing financial statements. - Ensuring statutory compliance under the Companies Act, Income Tax, GST, etc. - Working with operations / plant teams on cost analysis, inventory valuation, product costing, and pricing. - Monitoring cost centers, managing operating expenses and working capital. - Identifying and implementing cost savings initiatives. - Ensuring correct and timely filings of direct and indirect taxes (GST, TDS, corporate tax, etc.). - Assisting / coordinating with tax assessments, audits, and authorities / consultants. - Managing cash flows, fund flows, and maintaining banking relationships. - Overseeing working capital management and assisting with LC / BG issuance if applicable. - Coordinating with internal / statutory auditors; providing necessary documentation. - Helping establish / maintain internal controls and risk management practices and ensuring adherence to financial policies. - Supporting CFO / Head of Finance in strategic finance decisions and liaising with operations, legal, procurement / plant teams, auditors, financial institutions as needed. You should possess: - Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. - Proficiency in MS Excel; familiarity with Word, PowerPoint for reporting / presentations. - Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple tasks. - Good communication skills in English; knowledge of Tamil helpful in the local context. - Familiarity with accounting / costing software; ERP experience is a plus. - Willingness to learn and adapt; ability to operate well in a manufacturing / plant environment.
