Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Certified Medical Coder located in Thanjavur. The Certified Medical Coder will be responsible for accurately coding medical records using ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS code sets. The role includes tasks such as reviewing clinical statements, assigning standard codes, ensuring compliance with medical coding guidelines, and working closely with healthcare providers to clarify diagnoses and treatments. The Certified Medical Coder will also be expected to stay updated with coding changes, maintain confidentiality of patient information, and participate in continuous training and education.

Qualifications

• Proficient in ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with healthcare professionals
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus
• Relevant certification such as CPC, CCS, or equivalent
• Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or related field preferred
