Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role based in Chennai for a Same Day Surgery Certified Coder. The primary responsibilities include reviewing medical records, applying accurate diagnosis and procedure codes in compliance with regulatory requirements, and ensuring proper coding practices. The Certified Coder will also collaborate with teams to resolve queries, contribute to process improvement initiatives, and maintain the confidentiality of patient information while adhering to industry compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in medical coding, including Same Day Surgery coding and accurate application of relevant diagnosis and procedure codes.
• Familiarity with healthcare regulations, compliance standards, and proficiency in working with medical records and coding guidelines.
• Analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to ensure accuracy in coding processes.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals and internal teams.
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or equivalent certification is required.
• Previous experience in the healthcare domain or medical coding is preferred.
• Adaptability and commitment to maintaining patient record confidentiality at all times.
