About the Role

Lighthouse Communities Foundation is hiring a Centre Head to lead the implementation of our flagship Lighthouse Program at the Thane Centre. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in youth development, operations, and team leadership, who are passionate about creating sustainable livelihoods for urban youth.

Key Responsibilities

Program & Centre Management

• Oversee day-to-day operations and implementation of the Lighthouse Program
• Ensure smooth planning, administration, and team coordination
• Build and sustain an inclusive, learner-focused culture at the centre

Team Leadership

• Lead and manage a team of 4–7 staff
• Conduct quarterly reviews and provide growth-oriented feedback
• Foster team well-being and reduce attrition

Youth Engagement & Placements

• Collaborate with the Placement Manager to ensure job/placement outcomes
• Organize career readiness activities: resume reviews, mock interviews, industry interactions
• Map local employment landscape for placement opportunities

Monitoring, Reporting & Technology

• Submit accurate monthly reports, data, and centre plans
• Ensure usage of Lighthouse’s digital tools and platforms (e.g. Youth Connect Portal)
• Track and meet centre-level KPIs

Community & Stakeholder Engagement

• Build partnerships with local corporators, MLAs, corporates, NGOs, and volunteers
• Represent the Lighthouse in external forums and community events

Qualifications

• MSW or Postgraduate degree in Social Work, Education, Development Studies, or related fields
• Minimum 5 years of experience in program implementation, ideally in skilling or youth livelihoods
• Experience in managing a training or skill development centre is strongly preferred

Skills & Competencies

• Strong team leadership and people management skills
• Excellent communication in English, Hindi, and Marathi
• Comfortable engaging with government, corporate, and community stakeholders
• Proficiency in MS Office, Google Suite, Zoom/Teams, and data tracking tools
• Organized, target-driven, and result-oriented
