Central Warehouse Manager

Position Summary

The Central Warehouse Manager oversees the storage, distribution, and inventory of medical equipment and supplies for the 108 Ambulance Service across Maharashtra. This role ensures that all ambulancesBasic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS)are consistently stocked with life-saving equipment and consumables, supporting rapid emergency response statewide.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory & Supply Chain Management

• Manage centralized inventory of medical equipment (e.g., defibrillators, ventilators, oxygen cylinders, suction pumps) and consumables.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment cycles to avoid shortages or overstocking.
• Implement FIFO/LIFO systems and maintain real-time inventory using ERP or WMS platforms.
• Receive the equipment and consumables

Distribution & Logistics

• Coordinate dispatch of supplies to district office and ambulance hubs across Maharashtra.
• Liaise with supervisor teams to ensure timely and secure delivery of equipment and consumables.
• Track shipments and resolve discrepancies in delivery or documentation.

Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure all equipment meets specifications outlined in MEMS tender documents.
• Maintain calibration records, service logs, and audit-ready documentation.
• Support inspections and regulatory audits by NHM and Public Health Department.

Team Leadership & Coordination

• Supervise warehouse staff and logistics personnel.
• Train staff on handling medical equipment and warehouse safety protocols.
• Collaborate with biomedical engineers, procurement officers, and field operations teams.

Emergency Readiness

• Maintain emergency stockpiles for disaster response, epidemics, and mass casualty events.
• Ensure rapid mobilization capability for critical supplies during emergencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in warehouse or logistics management, preferably in healthcare or EMS.
• Familiarity with medical equipment and public health supply chains.
• Proficiency in ERP/WMS systems and inventory analytics.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
