Job Description

1. Chef de Partie (CDP)

Location: Currice Café
Department: Kitchen
Reporting to: Head Chef / Café Manager

Role Overview:
The Chef de Partie will oversee a specific section of the kitchen and ensure smooth operations, food quality, and hygiene standards. This role requires strong culinary skills, team management, and the ability to work under pressure in a café environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise a designated section (grill, Indian, continental, bakery, etc.).
  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to Currice standards.
  • Train and guide Commis chefs and kitchen assistants.
  • Ensure portion control, consistency, and presentation of all dishes.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and safety in the kitchen.
  • Monitor stock levels, reduce wastage, and assist in inventory management.
  • Coordinate with café staff to ensure timely food service.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience as CDP or Demi Chef in a café/restaurant setup.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian & continental cuisine (additional café menu items preferred).
  • Ability to lead a team and handle kitchen pressure.
  • Good communication and time-management skills.
  • Food safety and hygiene knowledge is a must.

2. Commis (Commi I/II/III)

Location: Currice Café
Department: Kitchen
Reporting to: CDP / Head Chef

Role Overview:
The Commis will assist in daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and maintaining kitchen hygiene. This role is ideal for individuals who want to learn and grow in the culinary field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist CDP and senior chefs in food preparation and cooking.
  • Follow recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation.
  • Wash, cut, peel, and prepare ingredients.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Support in receiving and storing kitchen supplies.
  • Work efficiently to support smooth café operations.

Requirements:

  • 0–2 years of experience as Commis in a café/restaurant (freshers passionate about cooking can apply).
  • Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
  • Willingness to learn and grow under senior chefs.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced café environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹17,000.00 per month
