Cctv Technician

As a member of the security installation team, you will be responsible for undertaking various preplanned and reactive maintenance tasks and new installation works encompassing either, CCTV, Access Control. You will be required to participate in the companys on call rotation.

You will take responsibility for all assigned projects from commencement to completion. You will complete these projects in a manner that exceeds our customers’ expectations and ensures that our work adheres to all company policies and procedure. You will be required to work on several projects and have the ability to multitask and plan critical requests from Clients.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities are to:

Installation, servicing / maintenance, testing, commissioning of CCTV / IP Surveillance Systems and Access Control Systems or related equipment, following drawing of electrical layouts and building plans in accordance with relevant Codes of Practice/Policies.

Providing a quality installation in the most methodical and efficient manner, including the ability to digest detailed scope of works and working drawings.

Client training and demonstration of systems to explain the systems working and functionality.

Person Specification

Technical Competencies - Essential

• Demonstrate at least 2 years previous experience in a CCTV role.
• Demonstrate a general knowledge of all camera Systems.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills.
• Sound administration skills with an understanding of the importance of paperwork/Data Creation in relevant portals/Mobile Apps and the accuracy and timeliness of submission of same.
• Employment will be subject to successful background screening and Enhanced Disclosure Check.
• Must be willing to work away

Technical Competencies - Desirable

• Knowledge of IP Systems is preferable
• Knowledge of any of the following Intruder Alarms, Access control, CCTV and Firewalls using a range of equipment including AXIS, Honeywell, Bosch, Dashua, Hikvision / SOPHOS, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco, Check Point etc.
• Manufacturers training for any of the following: Axis, Honeywell, Bosch, Hikvision etc.
