Job Description

1. Operations:

  • Coordination with Field Personnel:

    Coordinate effectively with field personnel from the Central Control Room (CCR) to ensure smooth and efficient plant operations.
  • Process Monitoring & Recording:

    Measure and record various critical process parameters alongside the Shift In-charge. Maintain detailed plant logs for the assigned section, inspect specific parameters regularly, and undertake any additional duties assigned by the Shift In-charge.
  • Product Quality Control:

    Diligently monitor the quality of key products Raw meal, Clinker, and Cement ensuring adherence to the quality ranges defined within the Quality Management System (QMS) procedures. Maintain close coordination with the laboratory for timely quality feedback and strictly follow the non-conformity procedure whenever product standards are not met.
  • Safety Procedure Execution:

    Execute all operational tasks according to established safety procedures, taking necessary precautions and implementing proper lock-out/tag-out procedures.
  • Plant Parameter Monitoring & Basic Analysis:

    Take accurate readings of essential plant parameters (tour log), energy consumption, and gas usage. Perform basic chemical water analysis and conduct periodic functional tests on plant systems as required.
  • Administrative Tasks & Reporting:

    Perform necessary administrative work related to accurate data reporting and adherence to operating procedures.
  • Regular Plant Checks & Maintenance Reporting:

    Conduct regular inspections of the plant, promptly report any malfunctions to the shift supervisor, and initiate work requests for necessary repairs or maintenance.
  • Shift Handover & Information Transfer:

    Perform thorough shift turnovers, ensuring the comprehensive transfer of all pertinent operational information to the incoming shift.
  • Plant & Procedure Improvement:

    Proactively make suggestions for improvements to plant operations and existing operating procedures to enhance efficiency and safety.
  • Chemical Handling Supervision:

    Supervise the safe and efficient loading and unloading of chemicals to and from delivery trucks.
  • Cleanliness & Organization:

    Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness within the control room and all other rooms utilized by operations personnel.
  • Consumables Management:

    Follow up on the availability of essential operational consumables and promptly report any deviations or shortages as needed.
  • Growth & Digitization Initiatives:

    Take proactive initiatives to drive growth for [DCBL - Assuming this is the company name] and ensure sustained growth aligned with both long-term and short-term organizational objectives. Actively ensure the initiation and sensitization of employees towards the digitization and automation of operational processes.
  • Advanced Analytics Focus:

    Emphasize the utilization of advanced business analytics tools to derive key insights that are critical for the overall success and strategic direction of the organization.

2. Environmental and Health Safety Considerations:

  • Safety & Environmental Compliance:

    Perform all operational activities in strict adherence to standards of public safety, employee safety, and environmental citizenship that meet or exceed all regulatory requirements applicable in Hyderabad and Telangana.
  • Work Permit System & Hazard Reporting:

    Responsible for the diligent implementation of the work permit system and proactively suggest improvements to the Safety Head. Immediately report any dangerous hazards identified on plant systems, within the workplace, the working environment, and potentially affecting the general public.
  • Environmental Regulation Adherence:

    Ensure that all plant operations strictly comply with all environmental rules and regulations applicable in the region and promptly report any potential or actual environmental problems.

3. Self/ Team Development:

  • Performance Review & Development Support:

    Regularly review and monitor the performance of team members, providing the necessary developmental support and constructive feedback to enhance their skills and contributions.
  • IDP Execution:

    Ensure the complete execution of Individual Development Plans (IDPs) for both self and all team members as an integral part of personal and subordinate development.
  • Training Recommendations:

    Recommend relevant training programs as required to facilitate the continuous development of the team and enhance their knowledge base to effectively cater to the evolving needs of the organization.
  • Knowledge Enhancement:

    Actively develop the team and continuously update their knowledge base to effectively address the organization's evolving needs and technological advancements.
  • Employee Satisfaction & Engagement:

    Strategize and implement avenues for enhancing employee satisfaction within the operations function, ultimately aiming for high levels of employee engagement and retention.
