CC Buyer - Fruits & Vegetables

As a CC Buyer in the Grocery B2C business unit, your primary responsibility is to ensure quality procurement by developing relationships with new farmers, suppliers, and vendors. Your role will involve regular visits to the mandi for price collection, identifying and cultivating new sources for supplies, and procuring CC shortfalls at competitive rates to maintain a 100% fill rate at stores. Additionally, you will be responsible for benchmarking quality, price, and assortment against competitors, forecasting seasonal produce trends, and updating F&V prices in SAP according to company policy. You will need to visit stores regularly to ensure supplies, pricing, and quality meet business standards, conduct price benchmarking at competitor stores, and collaborate with the operations and quality teams for benchmarking exercises. Training sessions for F&V champions and store teams will also be part of your routine to enhance product knowledge and service standards. Key Performance Indicators for your role include line fill rate, quantity fill rate/volume achievement for DSD, quality assessment, dump & shrink control, and DPP variation. Additional KPIs such as GM% delivery for DSD and GRIR/NDC management will also be crucial for evaluating your performance. To excel in this role, you must demonstrate strong functional competencies in procurement, market analysis, product quality evaluation, and negotiation skills.
