Cashier/ Billing

The Cashier/Billing Executive is responsible for preparing accurate bills for services rendered by the hospital, managing cash and electronic transactions, maintaining billing records, and ensuring timely collection and reconciliation of payments from patients, insurance companies, and other parties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and generate patient bills for outpatient (OP), inpatient (IP), and emergency services.
• Collect payments via cash, credit/debit cards, UPI, and other approved modes.
• Verify insurance details and process pre-authorizations or claims as applicable.
• Maintain and reconcile daily cash collections and submit reports to the finance/accounts department.
• Ensure billing entries are accurately posted in the Hospital Information System (HIS).
• Handle refunds, discounts, and billing adjustments in line with hospital policy.
• Provide clear explanations of charges to patients and relatives.
• Manage billing inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient financial records.
• Assist in monthly and annual audits and reporting activities.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Any Degree
• Experience: 1 years in hospital billing or healthcare cash handling preferred.
• Skills:
• Good knowledge of medical billing, insurance processes, and TPA interactions.
• Proficiency in billing software and Hospital Information Systems (HIS).
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
