Serve as the face of the business during billing and checkout processes. Responsibilities: Transaction Management: Handle cash, credit/debit cards, UPI, and other payment methods. Accurately process sales using POS (Point of Sale) systems. Issue receipts, refunds, or change as necessary. Customer Service: Greet customers politely and respond to queries during checkout. Provide assistance with billing issues or price clarifications. Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor. Cash Handling: Count and verify cash at the start and end of shifts. Balance cash drawers and report any discrepancies. Safely store and deposit collected cash as per company policy. Billing and Receipts: Ensure items are correctly scanned and billed. Apply discounts, vouchers, or loyalty points as applicable. Provide clear and accurate invoices. Record Keeping: Maintain daily sales records and reports. Track transactions for returns, exchanges, and voids. Compliance & Security: Follow cash handling procedures and security guidelines. Avoid billing errors and report suspicious activities. Adhere to all store and company policies. Cleanliness and Station Maintenance: Keep the cashier counter clean and organized. Ensure POS systems, printers, and barcode scanners function properly. Coordination: Communicate with floor staff regarding product availability and price changes. Support in-store promotions or sales events when needed.
