Job Description

Role Overview: As an Underwriting Support/Customer Relationship Manager for life insurance applications, your main responsibility will be to manage the new business and underwriting process for assigned applications. You will act as the primary point of contact for designated relationships, serving as a liaison between internal partners (Life Distribution, Contact Center, and internal processing areas) and field partners. Your role will require strong communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as problem-solving abilities to ensure customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. By applying your knowledge of business guidelines, controls, regulations, products, processes, and customer relationships, you will be instrumental in influencing department results and maintaining high productivity and quality standards. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in increasing digital adoption and meeting or exceeding all benchmarks and KPIs. Key Responsibilities: - Manage assigned life insurance applications through the new business and underwriting process. - Act as the single point of contact for designated relationships, liaising between internal and field partners. - Respond to, prioritize, and manage customer inquiries by email, applying knowledge of guidelines, controls, regulations, products, processes, and customer relationships. - Review all cases at a predetermined pace, ensuring smooth processing and recommending opportunities for improvement. - Maintain detailed notes and documentation, utilizing an understanding of case specifics, policies and procedures, industry regulations, and best practices. - Proactively manage your daily workflow to meet quality, key performance indicators, and service standards. - Take full ownership of your deliverables, collaborate effectively with the team to achieve targets, and consider the bigger picture to ensure process efficiency. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in BBA, BA, B.Com, or MBA. - Prior experience in underwriting support/case management within the life insurance industry. - Knowledge of the new business life cycle in life insurance. - Familiarity with pre and post-issuance documents of life insurance policies. - Understanding of life insurance terminologies. - Strong analytical skills, decision-making abilities, and attention to detail. - Highly motivated, proactive, and a self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Flexibility to work in US Shift Timings.
