Career Counselor

As a dedicated and empathetic Career Counselor, your role will involve guiding students, recent graduates, and professionals in making informed career decisions, developing essential skills, and planning for their future. You will be based in Salem and Dharmapuri, Tamil Nadu. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Career Guidance & Counseling:** Provide personalized career advice, help clients identify career paths, and support them in choosing the right courses, skills, and professional direction. - **Skills Assessment:** Use assessments and tools to evaluate clients" strengths, interests, and skills to recommend suitable career options. - **Goal Setting & Planning:** Assist clients in setting achievable career goals and creating action plans to reach them. - **Educational and Career Resources:** Keep updated with educational programs, career trends, and employment opportunities; provide clients with relevant resources. - **Workshops & Seminars:** Conduct career-focused workshops, seminars, and training sessions. - **Resume & Interview Preparation:** Offer support in resume writing, interview preparation, and job application strategies. - **Tracking Progress:** Regularly follow up with clients, track their progress, and adjust counseling strategies as needed. **Requirements:** - Bachelors degree in Psychology, Education, Counseling, or a related field; a Masters degree is a plus. - Proven experience as a Career Counselor or in a similar role. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English and Tamil. - Ability to assess clients" needs and develop personalized career plans. - Familiarity with career assessment tools and career planning resources. - Knowledge of current job market trends, especially in Tamil Nadu. - Empathetic, patient, and passionate about helping others achieve career success. **Preferred Skills:** - Understanding of AI digital skills and tech-oriented career paths. - Experience conducting workshops, seminars, and group counseling. - Strong organizational and documentation skills.
