Care Taker

Job Title: Care Taker – Home Care Location: CHENNAI  Employment Type: Full-time / Part-time / Live-in (as applicable) Department:Home Care Services Reports To: Home Care Supervisor Nursing Coordinator Job Summary: We are looking for a compassionate and responsible Care Taker to provide quality personal and home care support to patients at their residences. The ideal candidate will assist with daily living activities, ensure the patient’s comfort and safety, and provide emotional support while maintaining a clean and healthy environment. Key Responsibilities: * Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding. * Support mobility and exercise as per the care plan. * Administer oral medications (if trained and permitted) and remind patients to take prescribed medicines on time. * Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding if necessary. * Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the patient’s surroundings. * Provide *companionship*and emotional support to promote mental well-being. * Monitor and report any changes in the patient’s condition to the **nurse or supervisor. * Follow infection control and safety guidelines at all times. * Assist in vital sign checks(if trained) and record daily observations. * Coordinate with family members and healthcare professionals for seamless care. Qualifications & Skills: * Minimum *10th pass / 12th pass(ANM, GDA, DNA). * Prior experience in home care, elderly care, or patient care is preferred. * Basic understanding of personal hygiene, nutrition, and patient safety. * Good communication skills** and a caring attitude. * Physically fit to handle patient assistance and movement. * Ability to work with patience, empathy, and professionalism. Working Conditions: * Home-based care (individual patient). * Shift-based or live-in depending on the assignment. * Training and support provided by the organization.
