Job Title: CAD Technician – Garment (Woven Sector)

Location: Patravakam, Chennai
Salary Range: ₹40,000 – ₹45,000 per month
Experience Required: 15–20 years

Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced CAD Technician with 15–20 years of expertise in the garment woven sector. The candidate should have strong technical knowledge in CAD, sewing techniques, and pattern making, along with hands-on experience in Optitex or equivalent garment CAD software. The role requires developing accurate technical patterns, ensuring fit and quality, and supporting the production team to achieve seamless execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, modify, and grade patterns for woven garments using Optitex CAD software.
• Prepare and manage marker planning to optimize fabric utilization.
• Translate design sketches into accurate technical patterns ensuring correct fit and measurements.
• Work closely with merchandising, sampling, and production teams to ensure timely delivery of patterns.
• Conduct fit sessions and make necessary adjustments to achieve perfect garment fit.
• Provide technical guidance on sewing operations and garment construction methods.
• Ensure all patterns and CAD files are archived, maintained, and updated systematically.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to CAD and garment production.
• Support training and mentoring of junior CAD staff if required.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Proficiency in Optitex CAD software (or similar garment CAD systems).
• Strong knowledge of pattern making, sewing techniques, and garment construction.
• Excellent expertise in woven garment sector (shirts, trousers, jackets, etc.).
• Ability to analyze fit and make precise alterations.
• Strong understanding of fabric behavior, shrinkage, and finishing processes.
• Attention to detail with a problem-solving approach.
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications:

• Diploma / Degree in Textile, Apparel Technology, or Fashion Design.
• 15–20 years of proven experience as a CAD Technician in the woven garment export/manufacturing sector.
