Buyer Supply Chain Electrical (ELC)

As a Buyer for New Technology (EV, Semiconductors) Electrical Components, your role will involve costing, negotiation, and sourcing for new model parts within specified targets and timelines. You will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring the development aligns with the planned trials, coordinating with various stakeholders, and working towards cost reduction through activities such as VA-VE, yield improvement, and price negotiations. Additionally, your duties will include procuring parts for different trials, initial mass production stages, and spares supplies. You will also focus on supply de-risking strategies, MIS reporting, budgeting, vendor capacity assessment, and resolving quality issues during development and mass production. Furthermore, you will be involved in rationalizing vendor layouts, ensuring business continuity plans with existing vendors, tracking global semiconductor demand, and taking necessary countermeasures. Your competencies should include a good understanding of electrical-electronic components, semiconductor usage in automotive, manufacturing processes, logistics, and a data-driven approach for proposing strategies. In this role, you are expected to be a strategic thinker, possess strong execution orientation, problem-solving skills, and proficiency in using MS Office tools. A thorough understanding of balance sheets and costing is also essential for this position.,
