Position Summary

The Business Development Officer will be responsible for driving B2B sales, dealer and distributor engagement, and field marketing activities to increase market reach and product visibility. This role involves continuous market visits, lead generation, relationship building, and sales execution in the assigned territory.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Generate new business opportunities through B2B, dealer, and distributor sales channels.
  • Conduct regular field visits to identify prospects, pitch products, and convert leads into orders.
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets in the assigned territory.
  • Expand market presence by onboarding new dealers and maintaining existing relationships.

Dealer / Distributor Management

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with dealers, distributors, and channel partners.
  • Ensure timely collection of orders and payments.
  • Provide product updates, pricing details, and promotional offers to channel partners.
  • Resolve dealer issues and support them with sales initiatives.

Field Marketing & Lead Generation

  • Conduct market research to identify potential customers and competitors’ activities.
  • Execute marketing activities such as product demonstrations, field promotions, and branding initiatives.
  • Generate quality leads and maintain a strong sales pipeline.
  • Share daily/weekly field reports with the management.

Coordination & Reporting

  • Coordinate with internal teams for order processing, dispatch, and customer support.
  • Maintain MIS reports, sales documentation, and visit reports accurately.
  • Provide updates on market trends, feedback, and business opportunities.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to conduct extensive fieldwork.
  • Target-oriented mindset with a strong drive for sales growth.
  • Good relationship-building skills with dealers and distributors.
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office and reporting tools.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Male candidates only (as per field requirements).
  • 1–5 years of experience in B2B sales, field sales, dealer/distributor sales, or field marketing.
  • Two-wheeler and valid driving licence are mandatory.
  • Candidates with experience in building materials, industrial products, or FMCG sales will be preferred.
