The Head of Mechanical Department for the Steel Melting Shop (SMS) is responsible for overseeing all mechanical maintenance, ensuring maximum equipment uptime, optimizing maintenance strategies, and leading a team to achieve operational excellence in SMS. The role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and in-depth knowledge of mechanical systems in steelmaking operations.
Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to minimize downtime.
Identify and address recurring mechanical issues through root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions.
Optimize the spare parts inventory to ensure availability without excessive stock.
