Business Development Officer

Role Overview

The Business Development Officer is responsible for generating new business opportunities and increasing sales of Ready Mix Concrete. The role involves building strong relationships with contractors, builders, infrastructure companies, government agencies, and project consultants while ensuring customer satisfaction and meeting sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify new business opportunities and generate leads in target markets (builders, contractors, road and infrastructure projects, government tenders).
  
• Visit construction sites regularly to understand material requirements and promote RMC products.
  
• Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business.
  
• Prepare and deliver sales presentations to prospective customers.
  
• Coordinate with the operations, quality, and logistics teams to fulfill customer requirements.
  
• Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and customer feedback.
  
• Negotiate pricing, prepare quotations, and close deals.
  
• Maintain daily sales reports and site visit reports.
  
• Follow up on payments and ensure timely collection.
  
• Participate in promotional activities, exhibitions, and trade shows.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Graduate / Diploma in Civil / MBA in Sales & Marketing preferred.
  
• Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in RMC, construction materials, cement, or infrastructure sector.
  
• Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  
• Good understanding of construction workflow and site operations.
  
• Ability to work independently and achieve targets.
  
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word.
