About the Role

Business Development Officer at IIDE

What You’ll Do

Student Acquisition & Counseling

  • Counsel prospective students about IIDE’s digital marketing programs and assist them in selecting the right course based on their interests and aspirations.
  • Engage with students and parents via in-person meetings and telephonic conversations to address queries and provide detailed course insights.
  • Offer career guidance to help students understand program outcomes and future opportunities.

Sales & Target Achievement

  • Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly enrollment and revenue targets.
  • Track and calculate lead-to-enrollment conversion rates while ensuring timely follow-ups.
  • Utilize CRM and sales automation tools to manage leads, monitor pipelines, and track performance.

Team Collaboration & Mentorship

  • Support junior counselors by sharing best practices and helping improve their conversion performance.
  • Assist in training new joinees to ensure consistent counseling standards across the team.
  • Manage escalations and complex student queries as needed.

Additional Duties

  • Take ownership of larger student groups and high-priority leads when required.
  • Contribute to improving sales processes and customer experience.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties assigned by management aligned with the scope of the role.

Who You Are

Must-Have

  • 1–8 years of experience in sales or counseling, preferably within the EdTech sector.
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, active listening abilities, and rapport-building confidence.
  • Goal-oriented mindset with experience and interest in sales and academic counseling.
  • Tech-savvy with familiarity in CRM systems and sales automation tools.

Should Have

  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership potential and willingness to take on additional responsibilities as you grow.

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience in student counseling or sales roles within an EdTech company.
  • Certifications or interest in digital marketing or educational counseling.
