Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, and convert potential customers for

    Life, General, and Health Insurance

    products.
  • Recruit, appoint, and manage

    POSPs, Agents, and lead generators

    to expand distribution reach.
  • Develop territory-wise

    sales plans

    and set achievable targets for agent/POSP teams.
  • Formulate product-wise

    sales strategies

    based on market potential and customer needs.
  • Complete, verify, and submit all required

    insurance processing and documentation

    accurately.
  • Coordinate with customers and back-office for

    smooth policy issuance, servicing, and follow-ups

    .
  • Ensure adherence to

    operational risk guidelines, underwriting norms, and compliance policies

    .
  • Achieve

    monthly and quarterly revenue targets

    through a well-balanced product mix.
  • Conduct regular field visits to promote, market, and

    sell insurance products

    .
  • Maintain strong, long-term relationships with

    Agents, POSPs, and channel partners

    .
  • Initiate and convert leads through

    B2B, B2C outreach, networking, and referrals

    .
  • Demonstrate in-depth

    product knowledge

    and provide clear communication to prospective customers.
  • Follow up diligently on customer enquiries and provide product recommendations based on requirements.
  • Track performance of POSPs/Agents and ensure timely support to enhance productivity.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Experience in Agency/POSP development

    , including recruitment, onboarding, and performance management of agents and lead generators.
  • Strong ability to

    generate, qualify, and convert leads

    through B2B/B2C activities, networking, and market mapping.
  • Expertise in

    territory development

    , market penetration, and executing product-wise sales strategies.
  • Solid understanding of

    insurance documentation, KYC norms, underwriting coordination

    , and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated capability to

    manage customer interactions end-to-end

    needs assessment, product recommendation, closure, and post-sales follow-up.
  • High proficiency in

    relationship management

    with POSPs, agents, channel partners, and customers.
  • Target-driven mindset

    with strong ownership, discipline, and ability to deliver monthly and quarterly revenue goals.
  • Strong command over

    communication, negotiation, and problem-solving

    , with the ability to simplify product features for customers.
  • Ability to

    analyze funnel metrics

    , monitor agent productivity, and implement improvement actions.
  • Self-motivated, well-organized, and comfortable working in a

    performance-based, dynamic environment

  • Candidates with prior experience in

    Bancassurance, Agency Channel, Broking, or Multiline Insurance Sales
