Job Description

1. Key Responsibilities
Development of sales strategies, defining target segments, values and propositions Formulation of business sales plans, execute sales business and sales development strategies. Ensure product-wise & sector-wise profitability in the geographic area. Forecasting annual, quarterly and monthly sales goals. Plan, develop and execute new business. Implement brand building strategies. Overall responsible for the sales budgets assigned by GM-North & West to maintain the P&L.2. Roles & Responsibilities Frame Sales and Marketing strategic plan along overall Company’s guidelines ensuring best practices in Sales and Marketing are inculcated. Conduct market research and project studies to assess potential for different markets, type of cargo and services as per the Company’s focus areas. Develop new potential market and undertake regular market study of the potentials. Generate Sales leads and create a healthy sales pipeline in quantity as well as quality. Achieve sales and profit targets for new and freehand business for all products. Leverage company value proposition to expand customer base and target large corporate accounts. Develop nomination business through leads and tapping overseas offices / agents. Engage the Pricing team/warehouse/CHB team for commercial procurement and service support. Visting the major customers and continuous follow up to secure business.

Requirements

Minimum 8 to 12 years’ experience in Sales & Marketing in reputed Freight Forwarding
/Logistics Companies (Ocean/Air/NVOCC/customs clearance/transportation). A minimum 5 years’ experience in reputed logistics companies in a leadership role , especially successful tenure with multinational companies.• Computer savvy and having functional understanding of recent trends in process & technology trends in logistics/SCM• In depth knowledge and experience of local Ocean/Air forwarding, Operations , customs clearance, transportation and related Documentation procedures and customer International Supply Chain flows. In depth knowledge of local regulatory, regional practices
