Business Development Manager-API Sales

We are hiring for one of our client who's India's leading importer and distributor of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) seeking an experienced API Sales Manager / Assistant Manager / Sr. Executive to join our team .The ideal candidate will have a strong science background, excellent connections in the local market, and a proven track record of driving sales growth. Role & responsibilities 1. Sales Planning: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets, expand market share, and increase customer engagement. Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers, including pharmaceutical companies, research institutions, and distributors. 2. Market Development: Identify new business opportunities, conduct market research, and stay up to date with industry trends and competitor activity. 3. Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of our API products, including their applications, benefits, and technical specifications. 4. Reporting and Analytics: Provide regular sales reports, analytics, and insights to senior management to inform business decisions. Desired skills & attributes 1. Education: bachelors or masters degree in pharmacy. 2. Experience: 5-10 years of sales experience in the pharmaceutical or API industry, with a proven track record of driving sales growth and expanding customer bases. 3. Local Market Knowledge: Strong connections and knowledge of the local pharmaceutical market. 4. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders
