Role & responsibilities

Air Freight Sales role involves promoting and selling Air /Ocean freight services to businesses and clients. This role typically requires a strong understanding of logistics, Air / Ocean freight operations, and customer relationship management.

He/ She will ensure that OSPL meets its Air Freight / Ocean Freight business objectives by gaining new customers, driving customer growth, retaining existing customers and working towards continuous value addition to the customers.

Accountabilities:

  • Achieving Sales target for Air /Ocean Freight from free hand sales for the Region.
  • Budget preparations, sales plan, and execution of management sales strategies.
  • Achieve sales goals through hands on market planning, personal sales execution, and development of business relationships with key customers, new business, and retention
  • Cooperate with the various operations departments to provide follow-up services as needed by the customers.
  • Generate new business by identifying potential clients and creating sales strategies.
  • Manage existing accounts, ensuring repeat business and customer satisfaction.
  • Research and identify new market trends, customer needs, and industry developments.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and service agreements with clients to close sales.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and performance goals.
  • Ensuring timely collection of all outstanding dues as per agreed credit terms.
