Business Development Executive - Environmental Sector

Business Development Executive (BDE)

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Growth & Market Analysis:

    • Develop and execute strategic plans to expand the company's market share in the EIA and broader environmental services sectors.
    • Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, new regulations, potential clients, and competitor activities within the environmental business landscape.
    • Actively look for and qualify new business opportunities related to

      EIA

      studies, Environmental Management Systems, sustainability consulting, and other

      EBD

      services.
  • Client Relationship Management:

    • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with prospective and existing clients (e.g., government agencies, infrastructure developers, industrial clients) to foster repeat business.
    • Serve as a key point of contact, understanding client environmental needs and effectively communicating the value proposition of the company's services.
    • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions focused on environmental and business sustainability.
  • Proposal Development & Deal Closing:

    • Lead the preparation of high-quality proposals, tenders, and presentations, specifically addressing client requirements for EIA and other environmental projects.
    • Negotiate contracts and close business deals, ensuring adherence to financial targets and company guidelines.
    • Track all business development activities, pipeline progress, and performance metrics using CRM software.
  • Internal Collaboration:

    • Work closely with the technical and project delivery teams (e.g., environmental scientists, planners, legal experts) to ensure proposals are technically sound and client expectations can be met.
    • Provide market feedback to inform the development of new or improved environmental services and products.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Education:

    Master's degree in Business Administration (

    MBA

    ) is

    essential

    , preferably with a specialization or focus on Environmental Management, Sustainability, or a related field.
  • Experience:

    2 to 5 years

    of progressive experience in Business Development, Sales, or Consulting, with a strong preference for experience in the

    Environmental

    consulting or related industry.
  • Industry Knowledge:

    Proven understanding of the

    Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA)

    process, regulatory frameworks, and the broader

    Environmental Business Development (EBD)

    landscape.
  • Skills:

    • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and develop solutions for complex client needs.
    • Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales and business growth targets.
