Job Description

HealthMinds is seeking a high-performing Business Development Executive to drive strategic growth in the life sciences sector, focusing on commercial and medical content services. This role supports the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) in developing pre-sales strategies, expanding business within existing pharma and life sciences accounts, and unlocking opportunities across therapy areas. The ideal candidate blends client-facing excellence with a consultative sales approach and has strong familiarity with healthcare or medical content services.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Strategy & Account Growth
  • Collaborate with internal teams to shape presales strategy for commercial and medical content offerings
  • Expand revenue within existing accounts by identifying cross-functional opportunities and unmet client needs
  • Deeply understand client decision-making processes, challenges, and business goals
  • Generate new leads through outbound efforts including networking, referrals, cold calling, event participation, and email/face-to-face outreach
  • Stay informed on market shifts, therapy area developments, and competitor positioning
  • Lead project scoping, proposal development, commercial negotiations, and purchase order closures
  • Manage renewals, upsells, and contract extensions
  • Track and follow up on vendor registrations and procurement-related formalities

2. Client Collaboration & Internal Alignment
  • Serve as the commercial point of contact for key accounts
  • Coordinate with medical communications, delivery, and customer success teams to ensure alignment with client expectations
  • Join strategic client meetings with project teams to present solutions and build long-term trust

3. Reporting & Forecasting
  • Monitor key business development KPIs such as lead generation, conversion rates, and account growth
  • Provide regular updates to CRO and senior leadership on BD progress and pipeline health

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Health, Pharma, or Business
  • MBA is a plus
  • 3–6 years of experience in business development, ideally in life sciences or healthcare services
