Position Title:

Role Overview:

The Business Development Executive (BDE) for Fortcaps will be responsible for identifying and developing business opportunities for empty hard gelatin capsules across domestic and international markets. The ideal candidate will blend strategic thinking with operational executionleading lead generation, marketing campaigns, trade show coordination, and customer relationship management. This is a performance-driven role, aligned with the company's Annual Operating Plan (AOP) targets.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Generation & Market Research

  • Research and identify potential clients globally using:
    • Import/export data (e.g., Zauba, Import Genius, Panjiva)
    • Online B2B platforms (e.g., PharmaCompass, CPhI, Alibaba, IndiaMART)
    • LinkedIn and industry databases
    • Pharmaceutical and nutraceutical directories
    • Government tenders and global procurement portals
  • Qualify and segment leads based on potential volume, compliance needs, and strategic fit.
  • Track capsule market trends, competitor pricing, customer preferences, and regulatory shifts.

Marketing & Brand Development

  • Collaborate with marketing to design brochures, technical literature, case studies, and comparison sheets for use in customer pitches.
  • Suggest campaign strategies to:
    • Create brand awareness and pull in new markets
    • Position Fortcaps as a quality and compliant capsule supplier
  • Participate in planning and execution of digital campaigns (emails, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, paid ads).
  • Assist in gathering customer testimonials and success stories for content marketing.

Sales Execution & Client Management

  • Meet or exceed sales targets as defined in the Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
  • Conduct outreach, schedule client meetings, and present Fortcaps product portfolio.
  • Follow up on samples, quotations, and negotiations to close deals.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through consistent post-sales engagement and issue resolution.

Payment Collection & Order Monitoring

  • Ensure timely collection of payments from customers, adhering to payment terms and escalating delays appropriately.
  • Coordinate with the logistics and supply chain team to monitor dispatches and ensure delivery commitments.

Trade Shows & Customer Visits

  • Help identify relevant international and domestic trade shows and prepare pre-show plans:
    • Shortlist key buyers and book meetings in advance
    • Plan booth layout, promotional material, and samples
  • Post-show: Follow up on leads, generate reports, and ensure conversions.
  • Organize and manage customer visit schedules, including factory tours, sample presentations, and formal meetings.
