Job Title: Business Development Representative (BDR) / Inside Sales Executive - Fresher

Role Overview

The Business Development Representative (or Inside Sales Executive) is a foundational, entry-level role responsible for the initial stages of the sales process. You will be the company's first point of contact with potential clients, playing a crucial role in driving sales pipeline growth and identifying qualified business opportunities. This role is office-based (or remote/hybrid) and primarily uses phone, email, and virtual meetings to engage prospects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Generation and Prospecting

  • Research:

    Conduct in-depth market research to identify potential clients (prospects) and new business opportunities within target markets.
  • Outreach:

    Execute high-volume outbound activities including cold calls, emails, and social media messaging to generate new leads.
  • Database Management:

    Diligently track all lead interactions, progress, and customer information in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).

2. Qualification and Engagement

  • Needs Analysis:

    Initiate contact with prospects to understand their business needs, challenges, and pain points, and to determine if the company's product/service is a potential solution.
  • Lead Qualification:

    Use established qualification frameworks (e.g., BANT - Budget, Authority, Need, Timeline) to assess the quality of a lead.
  • Meetings & Demos:

    Successfully schedule and set up discovery meetings or product demonstrations for the senior sales team (Account Executives).

3. Team Collaboration and Learning

  • Alignment:

    Work closely with the Marketing and Sales teams to ensure a seamless lead-to-opportunity process.
  • Reporting:

    Prepare and maintain daily/weekly reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and results against targets.
  • Product Knowledge:

    Continuously update product knowledge, competitive landscape, and industry trends to effectively communicate the company's value proposition.

Qualifications and Skills

Required Qualifications

  • Education:

    Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Experience:

    0-1 year of experience; freshers are welcome. Prior internships, part-time jobs, or college activities demonstrating leadership and communication skills are a plus.
  • Communication:

    Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.

    Highly motivated, self-starter with a strong desire to meet and exceed ambitious sales targets.
  • Resilience:

    Ability to handle rejection gracefully and maintain a positive, determined attitude.
