Azure Cloud Pre-Sales Consultant / Solution Architect

4 - 5 Years of Experience

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Azure Cloud Pre-Sales Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 4 to 5 years of hands-on experience in the Azure ecosystem coupled with proven skills in solution design, technical presentation, and client engagement. This role is crucial for translating complex business requirements into robust, scalable, and cost-effective Azure cloud solutions, driving revenue growth, and supporting the sales process.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Solution Design

Needs Analysis: Conduct technical discovery sessions with prospective clients to understand their business challenges, existing IT landscape, and strategic objectives.

Solution Blueprint: Design and architect end-to-end Azure cloud solutions spanning IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS, including compute, storage, networking, security, and data services.

Sizing & Costing: Develop detailed Bills of Materials (BOMs) and perform cost estimations using the Azure Pricing Calculator, ensuring solutions are competitive and aligned with client budgets.

2. Client Engagement & Presentation

Technical Pitch: Deliver compelling, high-impact technical presentations, solution demonstrations (PoCs), and workshops to technical and non-technical stakeholders (including C-level executives).

RFP/RFI Response: Act as the primary technical resource for completing Requests for Proposal (RFP) and Requests for Information (RFI), creating detailed, technically accurate, and persuasive responses.

Thought Leadership: Articulate the value proposition and business benefits of adopting Azure and migrating legacy systems.

3. Transition & Enablement

Hand-off: Ensure a seamless transition of the approved solution design and technical scope to the delivery and implementation teams.

Training: Provide technical enablement and guidance to the sales team on new Azure services, offerings, and competitive differentiators.

Market Awareness: Stay current with the latest Azure features, roadmap updates, and industry trends to maintain solution relevance.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience: 4-5 years of experience in an IT role, with a minimum of 2 years dedicated to Azure in a Pre-Sales, Solution Architect, or Consulting capacity.

Technical Depth: Strong understanding of core Azure services (VNets, VMs, App Service, Azure SQL/Cosmos DB, Azure AD/Entra ID) and experience with hybrid cloud scenarios.

Architecture Frameworks: Familiarity with Microsoft's Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) and the Azure Well-Architected Framework.

Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.

Business Acumen: Demonstrated ability to connect technical capabilities to measurable business outcomes (ROI, TCO reduction, time-to-market).
