Job Description

ROLE & RESPONSBILITES

  • Generation of leads from Oil & Gas/Power/Process/Plant engineering/Structural Engineering/Surge Analysis/Energy & Utilities sector throughout the globe.
  • Analyzing company profile and developing effective strategies to improve business proposals.
  • Collaborating with company executives to determine the most suitable way for developing business.
  • Developing and sustaining solid relationships with clients.
  • Tender review records after proper assessment of the RFQ and comprehended the scope appreciation of civil, piping, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, process & environment related works within the project
  • Functioned as the Proposal Manager for managing activities of the Proposal Task-Force members and coordinating with the team leaders from respective engineering disciplines (Civil, Piping, Mechanical. Electrical, Instrumentation & Process) for technical inputs and man-hour estimates. Follow up with the clients & subcontractors along with technical heads for Techno-commercial meetings
  • Innovation and problem-solving skills that include the ability to develop and propose equipment-based solutions for clients
  • Provide coaching and training to subordinate Business Developers
  • Respond to all issues with prompt attention
  • Expanded business in the assigned territories and consistently improving the profitability of the company, identified new project business opportunities.
  • Prepared Pre-Qualification dossier, liaised with the different Oil & Gas sectors/Power &Utilities companies, for Project-to-Project Pre-qualification, while, guiding the team.
  • Spearheaded vendor registration function, facilitating the Sales department for new product approvals/ acceptance with utilities, engineering consultants & end users.
  • Analysing business operations and strategies to identify new opportunities.
  • Approaching and meeting prospective clients and closing the deal
  • One on one meeting with key clients and presenting the proposal
  • Determine the clear strategies and schedules for achieving set targets
  • Support various activities, e.g., platform management and project portfolio management, and drive own business development activities and projects
  • Maintain and improve the Business Development SharePoint

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Bachelors Degree with 0-10+ years experience in handling Business in an Engineering firm as a Business Development Officer
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
  • Proven track records working as a Business Development Officer.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and management skills.
  • Able to make Sound decisions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including facilitation of group presentations
