Job Title: Business Development – BPO (Publishing Industry – ePub Conversion) Location: [Vadapalani – Chennai] Department: Business Development Reports to: General Manager – Operations Experience: 5 to 7 years in Business Development (preferably in Publishing, ePublishing, or Content Services) Employment Type: Full-Time About Swift ProSys: Swift ProSys Pvt. Ltd. is a leading provider of digitization and digitalization services, specializing in content transformation, XML and ePub conversion, and document processing for global clients. We empower publishers, libraries, and aggregators with reliable, scalable, and cost-effective BPO solutions. Role Overview: We are seeking a results-driven and experienced Business Development Professional to identify, develop, and manage new business opportunities in the publishing industry , with a specific focus on ePub and digital book conversion services . The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of publishing workflows and digital content requirements, and be capable of building relationships with international publishers, digital content aggregators, and academic institutions. Key Responsibilities: Identify and target potential clients in the publishing and digital content industry , including academic, STM, educational, and trade publishers. Promote Swift ProSys’s ePub conversion services , including reflowable/fixed-layoutePub, ePub3, Mobi, and accessible content creation. Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to generate leads, qualify prospects, and close business deals. Engage with CXOs, Production Heads, and Procurement Managers at publishing companies to pitch solutions. Coordinate with internal teams to prepare proposals, project estimates, and presentations tailored to client needs. Represent the company in industry events, publishing expos, and digital content forums. Maintain accurate records of sales activity and client communications through CRM tools. Meet or exceed sales targets, revenue goals, and business KPIs. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Publishing, or related field (MBA preferred). 5+ years of experience in business development/sales in BPO, publishing, or ePublishing services. Proven track record of generating new business from international markets (US, UK, Europe, etc.). Strong understanding of ePub formats , content conversion processes, and publishing workflows. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments. Willingness to travel for client meetings, expos, and industry events (if required). Nice to Have: Familiarity with XML, HTML5, WCAG, and other content accessibility standards. Existing network of contacts in the publishing industry. Experience using CRM tools like Zoho, Salesforce, or HubSpot.
