Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting market analysis, generating new business opportunities, acquiring clients, and managing relationships to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities, emerging trends, and competitive landscapes within the logistics industry. Assess market needs and propose strategies for targeting new client segments.
  • Develop and implement strategies to generate leads and acquire new clients. Build and maintain a robust pipeline of potential business opportunities through various lead generation channels.
  • Engage with prospective clients through meetings, presentations, and networking events. Effectively communicate the value proposition of our logistics services and work to convert leads into long-term clients.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong, positive relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry influencers. Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and retention through proactive communication and service delivery.
  • Prepare and present customized proposals that outline detailed service offerings, pricing models, and terms. Tailor solutions to meet the specific logistics needs and challenges of clients, ensuring alignment with their business goals.
  • Lead negotiations with clients to secure favorable contracts and agreements. Ensure that all terms are in line with the companys objectives and capabilities, while also providing value to the client.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies and action plans to meet revenue targets and achieve business growth goals. Drive the sales process from initial contact through to final contract signing and implementation.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including operations, marketing, and customer service, to ensure seamless execution of client contracts and the delivery of high-quality logistics services.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, track progress against business development goals, and provide regular reports on activities and outcomes to leadership.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, regulations, and best practices. Utilize this knowledge to drive innovation, improve service offerings, and identify new growth opportunities for the company.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelors degree (mandatory).
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in logistics.
  • Strong understanding of FTL operations
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
