Job Description

Role Overview

Objectives of the Role

  • Identify trends and opportunities for growth through analysis of complex datasets.
  • Create and maintain reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify trends.
  • Evaluate organizational methods and provide source-to-target mappings and information-model specification documents for datasets.
  • Develop best-practice reports based on data mining, analysis, and visualization.
  • Evaluate internal systems for efficiency, accuracy, and potential issues; develop and maintain protocols for handling, processing, and cleaning data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, provide status updates, and build strong working relationships.
  • Communicate findings and insights to stakeholders through presentations and written reports.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in reporting and analytics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with project managers to understand analytics needs, including critical metrics and KPIs, delivering actionable insights to decision-makers.
  • Proactively analyze data to answer key questions for stakeholders, focusing on areas impacting business performance, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Create and maintain rich, interactive visualizations by integrating and analyzing multiple data sources.
  • Define and implement data acquisition and integration logic, selecting tools and methods that ensure scalability and performance.
  • Develop and maintain databases by acquiring data from primary and secondary sources; build scripts to streamline and scale the data evaluation process.
  • Present insights and recommendations effectively to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence.
  • Knowledge of database design and data warehousing principles.
  • Strong analytics skills, including data mining, evaluation, and visualization.
  • Proficiency in Power BI or similar data visualization tools.
  • Technical writing experience for queries, reports, and presentations.
  • Strong SQL and Excel skills, with aptitude for learning additional analytics tools.
  • Experience working with large and complex datasets.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Understanding of statistical analysis and modeling.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, MS Dynamics, or Gainsight is a plus.
