JOB OVERVIEW: The Business Application Manager serves as the liaison between system users, software support vendors, and internal IT support teams. The ideal candidate will act as a technical contributor and advisor, proactively assisting business users in defining strategic application development and integration to enhance business processes. KEY STAKEHOLDERS: INTERNAL: Infrastructure, Corporate, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Pharmacovigilance EXTERNAL: Support teams, Third-Party Logistics (3PLs), Consultants REPORTING STRUCTURE: Reports to the Chief Manager - IT Business Partner ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: B.S. in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: 6-10 years of experience in IT Project Management, IT Support Delivery, and Business Applications Experience in the Pharmaceutical or Medical Device industry required Familiarity with SAP ERP, Quality, Regulatory, Pharmacovigilance, and Manufacturing systems Understanding of manufacturing setups and plant operations Experience supporting IT systems for pharmaceutical manufacturing plants Strong understanding of the computer system validation lifecycle and GxP systems Significant project management experience; PMP or other advanced certifications preferred Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Timesheet Systems) and office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE: Proven experience managing teams with excellent collaboration skills, especially in culturally diverse environments Experience working with global stakeholders Training experience to assist system users in troubleshooting; ability to create training materials and lead sessions Ability to develop compelling business cases for new technologies KEY ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Collaborate with users to define user and functional requirements, obtaining business sign-off Lead the implementation of Quality, Regulatory, and Pharmacovigilance Applications Manage IT project teams and external vendor teams during the rollout of IT projects/systems Maintain partnerships with business teams, acting as the IT single point of contact for business users Review proposed design solutions with business users to ensure alignment with needs Transfer knowledge to the IT Support Team and manage change requests Communicate and coordinate changes in systems across affected business areas for smooth transitions Onboard vendors and manage external teams to support ongoing business applications Propose IT budgets (OPEX & CAPEX) in line with internal procedures, ensuring value and quality Ensure customer satisfaction and build ongoing relationships with stakeholders, managing their expectations Develop a deep understanding of the software development approach used within the organization Collaborate with central IT teamsIT security, infrastructure, SAP, and validationto implement business-specific applications/systems Work with IT teams to roll out specific applications at various sites Ensure integration of different systems and proper data migrations Present monthly project status updates to the IT Steering Committee KEY COMPETENCIES: Positive attitude with excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal, presentation) Self-motivated individual capable of excelling with minimal supervision in a dynamic environment Strong service focus with a proactive customer service attitude Ability to lead teams and work collaboratively to achieve results Excellent presentation and communication skills, effectively conveying business needs to technology teams
