Business Analyst

Job Title:

Role Purpose:

As a Business Analyst, you will be an integral part of our Delivery Engineering team. Your primary responsibilities will include establishing and enhancing Agile quality and testing practices to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. You will collaborate closely with the engineering team, product owners and stakeholders to clarify requirements, design and execute tests, and provide guidance on testing best practices.

Requirements Gathering and Analysis:

• Agile Scrum Methodology:

  Actively participating in Agile Scrum ceremonies, including daily

stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to ensure effective team

collaboration and project progress.

• User Story Writing

  : Create and refine user stories by gathering requirements from

stakeholders, ensuring each story was clear, concise, and actionable. Used techniques such as

INVEST (Independent, Negotiable, Valuable, Estimable, Small, Testable) to maintain high-quality user stories.

• Acceptance Criteria Development:

  Develop detailed acceptance criteria for user stories to

ensure clear expectations and facilitate effective testing. Work closely with stakeholders and QA

teams to ensure acceptance criteria were met before stories were considered "done."

• Backlog Management:

  Assist in managing the product backlog by prioritizing user stories based on business value and urgency, ensuring the most critical tasks were addressed in each

sprint.

• Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives:

  Contribute to sprint reviews by demonstrating completed work to stakeholders and gathering feedback. Participate in retrospectives to identify

areas for improvement and implement changes for future sprints.

• Collaboration with Development Teams:

  Work closely with development teams to clarify requirements, address questions, and ensure smooth implementation of user stories within the

sprint.

• Agile Tools and Software:

  Proficient in using Agile project management tools such as JIRA, Trello for tracking user stories, sprint progress, and team collaboration.

• Stakeholder Communication:

  Maintain effective communication with stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives, progress, and deliverables.

• Project Documentation:

  Develop comprehensive documentation including business requirements documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and process flows.

• Collaboration

  : Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, and project managers, to facilitate the successful implementation of projects.

• Problem Solving

  : Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills by addressing business

challenges and developing strategic solutions.

• Tools and Software:

  Proficient in using tools such as JIRA, Trello, MS Office, Azure Devops,

and software such as, SQL, and project management software.

• Wireframing in Figma:

  Design and develop wireframes using Figma to visually represent and

communicate user interfaces and workflows to stakeholders and development teams.

• Collaboration:

  Collaborate with UX/UI designers and developers within Figma, leveraging its real-time collaboration features to streamline the design and feedback process.
