Job Description

Job Purpose:

The Business Analyst will play a critical supporting role to the Business Development Lead, acting as a partner in driving growth across the region that the BD Lead drives. The role requires a blend of business analysis, strategic thinking, market intelligence, strong analytical acumen and cross-functional coordination skills to support customer development, account management, coordination with stakeholders and reporting.

Role & responsibilities:

Business Research and Strategic Planning-

  • Conduct primary and secondary research to support business development and product strategy.
  • Perform trade flow analysis, competitor benchmarking, and market trend assessments across geographies.
  • Identify white spaces, new product opportunities, and potential partnerships.
  • Generate actionable insights through financial and pipeline analysis of customers, competitors, including product launches and regulatory intelligence.

Marketing and Commercial Support-

  • Provide support to the Business Development Lead in order to grow strategic customer relationships in partnership with the sales/commercial team.
  • Assist in preparing impactful presentations and business proposals for key stakeholders.

Key Account Management & CDMO Engagement-

  • Support the BD lead in order to grow strategic customer relationships in partnership with the sales/commercial team.
  • Driving the trading business (~12 Cr)
  • Develop a streamlined RFP (Request for Proposal) response mechanism to improve turnaround time and win rate.

Product Lifecycle and Project Management-

  • Manage along with the Program Management POC, the end-to-end product lifecycle of agrochemical products, from conceptualization to commercial launch.
  • Work closely and monitor project plans, defined roadmaps, and oversee execution in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Lead product development initiatives by analyzing industry trends and aligning with customer needs.
  • Support the implementation and optimization of CRM- Zoho, ensuring improved customer engagement and process efficiency.
  • Represent the organization in business meetings, conferences, and industry events to build visibility and client relationships.

Preferred candidate profile:

Education Qualification- MBA in Business/ Marketing/ Strategy; Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering (B.E. Chemical) preferred.

Minimum Experience (in Years)- 3 - 6 years of relevant experience in the CDMO, agrochemicals, or specialty chemicals industry.
