Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Quantity Surveyor - budget Monitoring team based in Chennai. The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost planning and control, preparing bills of quantities (BOQ), managing and reporting on costs throughout the project lifecycle, and ensuring financial probity on projects. Additional tasks include carrying out regular evaluations of project costs, and working closely with project teams to provide detailed cost advice and value engineering solutions. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Diploma or related field Experience in QS & Billing Engineer 3 to 8 years Experience in residential projects is mandatory. Proficiency in Cost Control, Cost Planning, and Cost Management Experience with BOQ preparation and Cost Reporting Strong analytical and numeracy skills Excellent communication and negotiation skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Skill Set: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. Proficiency Excel tools, MSP and P6. Knowledge of contract law and construction practices. Cost Control, Cost Planning, and Cost Management skills. Proficiency in preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and Cost Reporting. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work effectively in an on-site team environment . Languages - Tamil and English mandatory Notice period: < 30 days. Application deadline: 15th June. Responsibilities: Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for projects. Conduct quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications. Monitor project costs and track variations. Prepare final accounts and cost reports. Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders on cost-related matters .
