Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage branch banking operations ensuring customer service excellence, operational efficiency, and cost control.
  • Drive branch business growth through retail banking products, cross-selling, and customer acquisition strategies.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor branch staff to achieve sales and service targets.
  • Ensure compliance with RBI guidelines, banking regulations, and internal audit requirements.
  • Monitor customer feedback and implement strategies for retention and satisfaction.
  • Build strong relationships with high-value customers and local market stakeholders.
  • Analyze branch performance metrics and initiate corrective actions for underperformance.
  • Prepare and present periodic reports to senior management on branch profitability and growth.
  • Oversee branch banking operations to deliver seamless customer experience and process adherence,
  • Achieve sales, revenue, and profitability targets through strategic planning and team leadership.
  • Foster a customer-centric culture and ensure high levels of satisfaction.
  • Implement operational risk controls and compliance measures.
  • Guide team members to meet business objectives and maintain service quality.
  • Utilize market insights and performance analytics to refine branch strategies.
  • Promote ethical practices and collaborative work environment aligned with corporate values.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of retail banking products, branch banking operations, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship management abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in financial data interpretation.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and banking software applications.

Experience & Qualification

  • Graduation (any discipline) required; MBA or Post-graduation preferred.
  • 6-10 years of experience in banking or financial services
  • Minimum 3-5 years in branch operations and sales leadership roles.
  • Proven track record in driving branch profitability and managing large teams.
  • Exposure to retail banking, cross-selling, and customer relationship management.
  • Familiarity with RBI guidelines, audit processes, and operational risk management.
  • Strong understanding of local market dynamics and business development strategies.
