Role Description

This full-time on-site role, located in Chennai, is for a BPO Medical Records Coding Sr. Associate.

The ED Professional Coder is responsible for accurately reviewing, coding, and billing emergency department services. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and payer-specific regulations while optimizing revenue and supporting quality reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze emergency department medical records to assign appropriate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
• Code for Evaluation and Management (E/M) services, procedures, infusion/injection charges, and bedside procedures.
• Ensure coding compliance with official guidelines and payer requirements.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve documentation and coding discrepancies.
• Conduct audits and provide feedback to improve coding accuracy.
• Educate staff and providers on proper coding and documentation practices.
• Stay updated on changes in coding standards and industry regulations
