Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Bioprocess Engineer, located in Hazaribag. The Bioprocess Engineer will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and scaling up bioprocesses using micro algae and yeast. The day-to-day tasks include monitoring and analyzing bioprocess performance, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with company goals. The role also involves maintaining equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and staying updated with industry trends and advancements.

Qualifications

• Experience with Bioprocess Engineering, Process Optimization, and Scale-Up
• Knowledge of Micro Algae or Yeast Cultivation and Bio-reactor Design
• Proficiency in Data Analysis and Process Monitoring
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and on-site in Hazaribag
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, or related field
• Prior experience in a similar role or industry is a plus
• Develop and optimize biochemical extraction processes
• Manage biomass harvesting and processing strategies
• Support strain development and genetic optimization
• Conduct laboratory-scale and pilot-scale experiments
• Contribute to product development across our biochemical platforms

Requirements:

• Master's in Biotechnology, Bioprocess Engineering

• 2+ years experience in biotech/biochemical processing

• Knowledge of algal/bacterial/yeast cultivation and processing

• Experience with downstream processing techniques

• Strong laboratory and technical documentation skills

• Preferred: Experience in Pilot Plant setup
