We are looking for a Design Engineer who will be responsible for creating detailed CAD drawings of our bioreactors, fermenters, and other biotech equipment, ensuring they meet both mechanical and bioprocess requirements. Key Responsibilities CAD Design and Drafting: Create precise and detailed CAD drawings for lab-scale, pilot-scale, and industrial-scale bioreactors & fermenter vessels and pipelines in addition to other biotech equipment. P&ID Diagrams: Develop and maintain Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) for various biotech equipment, ensuring accurate representation of process flow, control, and instrumentation. Product Development: Collaborate with the R&D and production teams to develop new equipment designs that meet industry standards and client requirements. Bioprocess Integration: Integrate bioprocess requirements into the design, ensuring compatibility with various biological, pharmaceutical, and chemical processes. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with manufacturing, quality assurance, and project management teams to ensure designs are feasible and align with production capabilities. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for design improvements and cost optimization, implementing changes as needed. Technical Support: Assist sales and service teams with design-related queries and customer-specific requirements. Qualifications & Requirements Education: Bachelor's degree or Diploma in mechanical engineering, or a related field. Experience: 2+ years of experience in designing bioreactors or similar equipment in the biotech, pharmaceutical, or chemical industries. Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks). SOP Development: Translate insights into clearly documented SOPs, workflows, and responsibility matrices. Maintain version control and ensure approval workflows are followed in coordination with QA. Role Mapping & Job Description Creation: Analyze each departmental function to help define clear roles and responsibilities. Create and update detailed job descriptions in coordination with department leads.
