Job Description

Biomedical Engineer

Experience:

Role & Responsibilities:

Install, maintain, calibrate, and repair biomedical equipment and instruments used in hospitals or clinics.
Conduct routine performance checks and preventive maintenance to ensure reliability and safety.
Troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate with vendors for repairs or replacements.
Maintain detailed records of equipment maintenance, calibration, and service history.
Ensure compliance with hospital safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Support medical and technical staff in the safe and effective use of biomedical devices.
Evaluate new medical technologies and assist in procurement decisions.
Provide training to hospital staff on equipment operation and best practices.

Required Skills:

Strong understanding of biomedical instruments and hospital equipment.
Proficiency in troubleshooting, calibration, and preventive maintenance.
Knowledge of electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems related to medical devices.
Good communication and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple service requests.

Preferred Background:

Experience working in hospital or healthcare facility setups.
Exposure to OEM or vendor-side biomedical service environments.
