Position Overview The Biomedical Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning, maintenance, calibration, and repair of all medical and diagnostic equipment. Key Responsibilities Supervise and maintain all biomedical equipment, instruments, and medical devices in the hospital. Maintain a detailed equipment inventory with service history, warranty, and AMC/CMC records. Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and service agencies for installation, calibration, and repair work. Assist in planning and procurement of new medical equipment, including technical evaluation and cost analysis. Ensure compliance with NABH, AERB, and institutional standards for equipment management. Train hospital staff and technicians on safe handling and operation of biomedical devices. Collaborate with the maintenance and electrical teams for integrated system support. Maintain documentation and reports for audits, inspections, and asset management. Ensure proper disposal or decommissioning of obsolete or non-functional equipment. Respond promptly to breakdown calls, minimizing equipment downtime and service interruptions. Participate in safety audits, quality assurance programs, and hospital emergency preparedness. Eligibility Criteria: • Qualification: B.Tech / B.E. in Biomedical Engineering or Electronics & Instrumentation from a recognized university. • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a multi-specialty or teaching hospital setup.
