BIOMEDICAL ENGINEER

Job Responsibilities – Biomedical Engineer

1,Installation & Commissioning

• Install, commission, and demonstrate medical equipment at hospitals, diagnostic centres, and clinics.
• Ensure equipment is installed as per manufacturer guidelines and safety standards.
• Conduct user training for doctors, technicians, and nursing staff.

2. Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) as per service contracts.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and rectify equipment breakdowns within defined TAT.
• Maintain service logs, PM checklists, and breakdown reports.

3. Technical Support & Customer Service

• Provide on-call technical support to customers.
• Coordinate with principals/manufacturers for advanced technical issues.
• Ensure high customer satisfaction through prompt and professional service.

4. Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with biomedical safety norms, electrical safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Follow company SOPs and manufacturer service protocols.
• Support audits and inspections when required.

5. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate service reports, installation reports, and customer acknowledgment.
• Update service records, spare part usage, and warranty details.
• Submit periodic service performance reports to management.

6. Spare Parts & Inventory Coordination

• Identify spare parts required for repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Coordinate with stores/logistics for spare parts availability.
• Ensure proper handling and replacement of parts under warranty.

7. Sales & Application Support (if required)

• Provide pre-sales technical support to the sales team.
• Assist in product demonstrations, evaluations, and trials.
• Support customers during tender technical specifications and evaluations.

8. Training & Skill Development

• Attend technical training programs conducted by principals or company.
• Stay updated on new technologies, upgrades, and product improvements.
• Train junior engineers or service staff when required.

9. Travel & Field Work

• Travel to customer locations across assigned territories.
• Be available for emergency service calls, including weekends or holidays if required.

Preferred Skills & Competencies

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Good communication and customer-handling skills
• Willingness to travel extensively
• Knowledge of hospital equipment, diagnostics, or critical care devices
• Basic computer skills (MS Excel, service software, email)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
