Job Title: REVIT Designer - Lighting
Work Hours: 10AM to 7PM or 2PM to 11PM (must be flexible)
Location: India
studioEVM is a young, idea-driven design practice that thinks with light. We move between art, design, and technology to uncover invisible connections—metaphors that shape how we see and feel space. With over 50 projects behind us, we’ve lit everything from contemporary art to corporate workspaces, landscapes to exhibitions. Our work resists easy categories: sometimes technical, sometimes poetic—always thoughtful. We don’t just solve lighting problems; we wear different hats to ask better questions, and design experiences that stay with people long after the lights go off.
We are seeking a REVIT Designer - Lighting to focus on BIM 360 and Autodesk Docs projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in lighting design and BIM coordination, with a background in QA/QC processes. This role involves collaborating with the design team, ensuring high-quality BIM models, and contributing to the design process for our lighting projects.
1. BIM Modelling:
Set up new Revit projects in BIM collaboration mode.
Work with BIM templates to ensure consistency and efficiency.
Set up families for custom fixtures, ensuring they meet project specifications.
Manage and coordinate BIM 360 and Autodesk Docs projects, maintaining accurate models and data.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate lighting designs into overall project models.
2. Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC):
Oversee the BIM 360 work of other team members, conducting reviews and audits to ensure compliance with project standards.
Develop and implement QA/QC protocols to maintain high-quality BIM deliverables.
3. Lighting Design:
Participate in the design process for lighting projects, from conceptual development to detailed design and documentation.
Create accurate and detailed lighting models that meet project requirements and industry standards.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure lighting designs are integrated seamlessly into the overall project.
Provide guidance and training to team members on BIM best practices and lighting design principles.
4. Documentation and Reporting:
Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation for all lighting designs, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
Generate progress reports and present findings to project managers and clients as needed.
Experience as a BIM Engineer or similar role, with a focus on lighting design.
Proficiency in BIM 360, Autodesk Docs, Revit, and AutoCAD.
Knowledge of lighting design principles and industry standards.
Experience with QA/QC processes in a BIM environment.
Communication and collaboration skills.
Availability to work night shifts (2:00 PM to 11:00 PM).
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
Certification in BIM and/or lighting design is not required but is a plus.
What We Offer:
A competitive salary and benefits package.
Opportunities for future growth into Lighting BIM Manager or Lighting Designer roles within the team.
Exposure to domestic and international projects of the highest standards.
A dynamic and collaborative work environment.
If you have a background in BIM and Lighting, we encourage you to apply.
