Job Title: Billing Engineer Warehousing & Industrial Construction

Job Summary:

Billing Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

1. Billing & Invoicing

  • Prepare and verify interim & final bills

    for projects, ensuring compliance with contract terms, BOQ (Bill of Quantities), and approved work progress.
  • Ensure

    accurate quantity take-offs and cost calculations

    for materials, labor, and equipment.
  • Handle

    variation orders, change requests, and escalation claims

    in coordination with project teams.
  • Review subcontractor and vendor bills, validating quantities and ensuring alignment with project milestones.

2. Cost Monitoring & Reconciliation

  • Track project expenses, identifying any discrepancies and ensuring accurate cost reporting.
  • Work closely with

    site engineers, procurement, and finance teams

    to monitor

    actual vs. projected costs.

  • Validate contractor and supplier invoices against work completed and material received.

3. Contract & Compliance Management

  • Ensure that all billing documents comply with

    contractual, statutory, and client-specific

    requirements.
  • Maintain

    comprehensive documentation

    of billing submissions, approvals, and payment receipts.
  • Support in contract negotiations related to payment terms, claims, and financial settlements.

4. Client & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Liaise with clients

    for payment follow-ups, certification of bills, and addressing billing-related queries.
  • Coordinate with site teams to

    resolve discrepancies and provide justification

    for variations or additional claims.
  • Work with auditors and finance teams for smooth financial reconciliations and compliance checks.

5. Reporting & Process Optimization

  • Prepare

    detailed financial reports

    on project billing status, outstanding payments, and cash flow forecasting.
  • Identify and

    implement process improvements

    to enhance billing accuracy and efficiency.
  • Stay updated with

    best practices in contract billing, taxation, and regulatory requirements

    in the construction industry.

Key Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree

    in

    Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

  • 5-7 years

    of hands-on experience in

    billing, contract management, or quantity surveying

    within the construction industry, preferably in

    warehousing and industrial projects.

  • Proven expertise in handling

    high-value contracts, large-scale projects, and multi-stakeholder billing processes.

Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of billing, cost estimation, and quantity surveying

Soft Skills:

Attention to detail & accuracy
