Job Summary:

The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner. The role involves maintaining the bar’s cleanliness, ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety standards, and creating a welcoming environment that enhances guest satisfaction.
With 2–4 years of experience, the bartender is expected to demonstrate excellent product knowledge, creativity in mixology, and strong guest interaction skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Guest Service & Beverage Preparation

Prepare, mix, and serve cocktails, mocktails, and other beverages as per standard recipes and guest preferences.
Greet guests warmly and recommend drinks or signature cocktails based on their taste.
Ensure consistency in drink quality, presentation, and portion control.
Take orders accurately and serve drinks promptly.
Engage with guests to create a lively and pleasant bar atmosphere.

Bar Operations & Inventory

Set up and stock the bar with glassware, garnishes, beverages, and supplies before each shift.
Maintain daily stock records and inform supervisor of shortages or breakages.
Handle billing and cash transactions accurately.
Ensure bar counters, equipment, and tools are clean and sanitized.
Follow opening and closing checklists properly.

Compliance & Hygiene

Adhere to all company policies and local liquor laws.
Follow safety and hygiene protocols as per hotel/restaurant standards.
Maintain responsible alcohol service practices (no overserving, check ID if required).
Knowledge & Teamwork
Stay updated with beverage trends, new recipes, and seasonal promotions.
Assist in training junior staff or bar trainees when required.
Coordinate smoothly with service staff and kitchen team.

Strong knowledge of spirits, wines, beers, and cocktail preparation
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Outgoing personality with a guest-first approach
Good memory and attention to detail
Cash-handling accuracy
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications & Experience:

Diploma / Certificate in Hotel Management or Bartending course preferred
2–4 years of experience in a reputed hotel, bar, or restaurant
Fluent in English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage
Trained in responsible alcohol service and hygiene standards
