Job Description – BaristaPosition: Barista
Location: Daphne’s, MG Road, Machkhowa, Guwahati, Assam
Reports to: Café Manager / Supervisor
Role OverviewAs a Barista at Daphne’s, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee, beverages, and café menu items while ensuring an exceptional guest experience. You will also maintain cleanliness, assist in daily operations, and contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and serve coffee, tea, smoothies, and other beverages according to standard recipes.
Assist customers in selecting menu items, provide recommendations, and ensure friendly service.
Operate coffee machines, grinders, blenders, and other café equipment with care.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the café, including the work area, counters, and equipment.
Handle cash register operations, billing, and payments accurately.
Ensure adequate stock of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies.
Uphold health, safety, and food handling standards.
Support team members during peak hours and maintain smooth workflow.
Contribute to a positive customer experience with attentive service and professionalism.
Qualifications & SkillsPrevious experience as a Barista or in a café/restaurant environment preferred (freshers with passion for coffee may also apply).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
Basic knowledge of coffee brewing methods and latte art is a plus.
Customer-first mindset with a friendly and approachable attitude.
Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
